I am an applied economist working in the fields of development, growth, and monetary economics.  I have a regional interest in Latin America.

My research centers on two areas:

• Capital markets in emerging market economies

• Economic convergence

I am currently engaged in research on the origins of Chile’s first formal financial institutions during the mid-nineteenth century.
